The fairy tale princes I remember had great hair, rode powerful white horses and wore tights.
I have no idea why they were spending so much time in a forest. They might have been lost or taking a shortcut back to the palace from a royal conference.
Once on a ride, a prince came across Snow White asleep on a bed of flowers. One another ride a difference prince found a palace where Sleeping Beauty was, you guessed it, asleep.
Sadly, neither Snow White or Sleeping Beauty realized they had the power to wake themselves, and neither were aware of what might not be so charming when it came to a relationship with a prince.
So, my dear, here are a few warning signs of danger, for forests and palaces are not the only places where you can fall asleep.
Beware of an overabundance of charm.
Beware of a relationship that moves too quickly and doesn’t give you any time to think.
Beware of any prince who wants to isolate you, even if it’s in his glorious palace.
Beware of any prince who prevents you from making your own decisions and discourages you from seeing friends and family.
Whether you have lived in the comfort of an elegant palace with rooms draped in heavy tapestries or have felt at home in the wilds of a forest thick with towering oak trees, a princess must always remember to stay awake and honor and respect her unique and powerful self.
