What if creating greater health and well-being were not about following rigid rules, giving up everything you enjoy, or forcing yourself into a plan that was never designed for you?
That is the perspective behind this three-month course exploring the principles of an Ayurvedic lifestyle. Ayurveda is a traditional wellness system built around balance, self-awareness, and living in greater harmony with your body and nature. Its underlying goal is satisfaction—feeling comfortable, fulfilled, and supported by the choices you make.
Because everyone is different, Ayurveda does not take a “one-size-fits-all” approach. The course will help you identify your Ayurvedic body type, or dosha, and understand how your individual constitution may influence your needs. You will explore guidelines related to what, when, and how much to eat; creating a satisfying atmosphere around meals; sleeping well; exercising according to your body type and age; responding to seasonal changes; and developing a healthier relationship with your body.
This is not a diet or a quick solution. It is an opportunity to become more aware of what helps you feel your best and to make thoughtful choices that support your long-term well-being. For those concerned about weight, the emphasis will be on creating balance and satisfaction rather than deprivation, restriction, or constant attention to the scale.
Why might you want to participate? Even when a health concern improves, returning to the same habits may make it difficult to maintain that progress. This course is designed to help you look beyond temporary fixes and begin creating a lifestyle that supports the life you want to live. Greater well-being can also help you respond to life’s many changes with more energy, clarity, and resilience.
The course is expected to begin in mid-September and continue for approximately three months. Much of the material will be delivered through email, allowing you to learn and reflect at your own pace. You may print the lessons and create a personal reference book to use long after the course ends. The anticipated investment is $85 per month for three months.
Your commitment is simply to take time to learn, pay attention to your choices, and consider how the guidelines might apply to your life. They are guidelines—not rules—and you remain in charge. There is no blame or expectation of perfection. If you move away from a healthy choice, you can simply begin again.
