Purpose: To gently reconnect with your creativity without pressure or expectation.
1. Set the Space (2 minutes)
Choose a quiet spot. Light a candle, make a cup of tea, or open a window. Let this moment feel different from the rest of your day—not special, just intentional.
2. Breathe and Arrive (2 minutes)
Place one hand on your chest and take three slow breaths. With each exhale, let go of the need to produce something meaningful or “good.” Remind yourself: This is not about results.
3. Follow Curiosity (4 minutes)
Pick one simple creative action:
-
Write a few unfiltered sentences
-
Doodle shapes or lines
-
Choose colors and place them on paper
-
Hum, tap a rhythm, or listen to a piece of music
-
Rearrange objects near you slowly and with attention
Stay present. Notice texture, sound, movement, or emotion—without judging.
4. Close Gently (2 minutes)
Pause. Look at what you created or notice how you feel. Place a hand over your heart and say quietly:
“My creativity doesn’t need permission. It lives here.”
Reflection Prompt
Afterward, ask yourself:
-
What felt most natural?
-
What surprised me?
-
How did it feel to create without an outcome?
You can repeat this ritual weekly—or anytime you feel disconnected from yourself. Creativity doesn’t require momentum. It only asks for attention.
